The life and times of the Philadelphia Inquirer and Daily News tended to be ‘hidden’ within the walls of the ‘Old White Maiden of North Broad Street’, where she today she sits empty. Not long ago, she was a booming place, where news was made and the people were more interesting than the stories being written. As late as 1980, in excess of 12,000 people worked there in various capacities. Those people drove the feature stories of today. However, no one would write about what occurred within their walls- until now.
